Join us for a fun bike ride around Winchester and explore its rich history during the Winchester Revolt event!
Live free and ride through history!
Join the Winchester-Frederick County VA250 Committee for a bicycle tour through the history of Winchester. While focusing on the roles played by local Patriots during the American Revolution, we will visit sites that predate European settlement all the way up to the early 20th century.
NEW! The 2026 route includes different locations with more emphasis on the American Revolution at this year’s event. The route is seven miles long with seven stops along the way. All of the stops will have a narrator, often reenactors in period garb, to talk about why each site is important.
The date is Saturday, June 6, rain or shine. Check-in will begin at 9:30am. The start time is 10am, and should conclude by 1:00pm.
Both the start and finish will be at Our Health, located at 329 N. Cameron Street.
Participants must be at least 14 years of age. Participants ages 14-17 must be accompanied by an adult who can sign a release form.
Pre-registration is required with a $10 fee. The event is limited to 40 riders.
If you’d like to try an E-Bike, they are available to rent for the ride. Contact Blue Ridge Bicycles (https://blueridgebicycles.com/) or Element Sports (https://www.elementsport.com/). Both are located in Winchester, and also offer regular bike rentals.
