FredCo Love Your Farmer Week is a community-wide celebration designed to reconnect neighbors with the farms that feed them—through service, shared work, and meaningful relationship-building.
Throughout the week, local residents are invited to sign up to volunteer at participating farms across Frederick County. Participants may choose to dedicate their time to one farm for the week or hop from farm to farm, lending a helping hand wherever it’s needed most. From gardens and barns to fields and fences, volunteers will learn practical skills while directly supporting the farmers who steward our land and raise our food.
This week is rooted in a time-honored tradition—neighbors rallying together, much like a barn raising, to accomplish big tasks that can’t be done alone. It’s about shared labor, mutual support, and restoring the relationships that once formed the backbone of rural communities.
Just in time for the 250th birthday of our nation, Love Your Farmer Week invites participants to rediscover the agrarian roots that helped build America—and to actively support the modern farmers continuing that legacy today.
Whether you’re a seasoned homesteader, a family wanting to teach your children the value of hard work, or someone simply looking to give back, FredCo Love Your Farmer Week offers a meaningful way to serve, learn, and <a href="http://connect.
