Long Branch will host a series of teas at the house during the Give Me Liberty exhibit period, in which guests can learn about how tea – so loved among colonists, yet taxed as an import by the British – added to the list of grievances against the British and fueled the calls for revolution among colonists.
​Tea will be served, along with light sandwiches and sweets. Sit and mingle at tea tables setup throughout the house, and learn about Virginia’s role in the American Revolution.
