As part of the VA250 Series and programs we will be partnering with the Warren Heritage Society to collect stories and experiences from community members about the Royal Visit, the Avtex Superfund Site, Massive Resistance, and the displacement of people from the National Park. We will also be having a guest speaker from the Library of Virginia on this day to host a transcribe-a-thon and hear about some specific histories/documents from the Revolutionary War Era directly related to Warren County. Artifact station- Bring your own pieces of history to showcase and have digitized
11:30 AM to 1:30 PM:
Transcribe-a-thon- join us along with Eric Johnson from the Library of Virginia and learn how to transcribe documents and the importance of transcription
3:00 PM to 4:00 PM
Eric Johnson will give a presentation about historical documents directly related to Warren County during the Revolutionary War Era.
