Family-Friendly | All Ages Welcome | Free Community Event
Join us April 18th 2026 at the Frederick County Fairgrounds for the Frederick County Homesteaders Spring Farm Hop—a one-day celebration of local agriculture, community, and hands-on learning in the Shenandoah Valley.
The Spring Farm Hop brings farms, makers, artisans, food trucks, and agricultural organizations together in one convenient location, creating an accessible, family-friendly alternative to a traditional farm crawl. Instead of traveling farm to farm, attendees can “hop” from booth to booth—meeting farmers, seeing animals up close, shopping local goods, and learning directly from those stewarding the land.
Meet local farmers and homesteaders
See and learn about farm animals
Shop farm-produced goods and handmade items
Enjoy food trucks, live music, and family-friendly activities
Participate in animal and plant swaps
Watch live demonstrations like woodturning, soap making, butchering, and more
Connect with agricultural nonprofits and youth organizations, including 4-H and FFA
The Spring Farm Hop also serves as a preview of farms planning to participate in the 2026 Frederick County Farm Crawl, giving attendees a chance to meet farms ahead of time and plan future crawl days with confidence.
Whether you’re a seasoned homesteader, a curious beginner, a family with young children, or simply someone who loves supporting local food and farms, the Spring Farm Hop offers something for <a href="http://everyone.
Come” target=”_blank” title=”everyone.
Come”>everyone.
Come meet the farmers, support local agriculture, and experience Frederick County—one hop at a time.
